GIMP is a free and open-source image and photo editor. You can edit images, retouch and enhance photos, draw shapes, change or remove image backgrounds, combine photos, add text to images, plus so much more. This app also allows you to create website graphics such as logos, icons, banners, backgrounds and more. Once you get used to using this program you can really have fun with it. It has some powerful editing tools that I find very useful. GIMP has a lot of the tools and features that are typically included in commercial products like Adobe Photoshop. Most people I know use GIMP as an alternative to Photoshop because of their budget. GIMP is free, but very powerful. I use it a lot for editing photos and some of the graphics on this website were created using GIMP. The interface, with all its tools may seem overwhelming at first, but the tutorial link below can help you with getting started using this program.
